Welcome to the world of quality custom homes and renovations, where craftsmanship meets passion! I'm Dennis, the proud founder and mastermind behind Danish Construction. Hailing from Denmark, my journey to Lake Country, BC has been nothing short of an adventure fueled by a deep-rooted love for construction and a desire to break free from conformity.
My story began back in '98 when I first embarked on my carpentry apprenticeship in my homeland of Denmark, honing my skills and craftsmanship with each hammer swing. From those humble beginnings, my passion for construction blossomed, leading me on an adventure that spans continents and cultures.
At the tender age of 20, armed with my Danish carpentry ticket, I found myself braving the icy winds of Greenland, working on interior carpentry finishing in the bustling city of Nuuk. It was there that I honed my skills, embraced the challenges of the cold, and rose through the ranks to become a foreman. But the call of adventure was strong, and in 2005, I made my first visit to Canada. It didn't take long for me to realize that this was where I wanted to put down roots and build my future.
I enrolled in a Denmark university to further my education in architectural technology and construction management in 2007. Two years later (2009), I made the bold decision to return to Canada for good, continuing my studies remotely. By 2010, I proudly obtained my Bachelor's degree, armed with the knowledge and expertise to turn my dreams into reality. But my journey didn't stop there; in 2015, I found myself drawn to the noble cause of preserving old heritage buildings, working tirelessly for Nickel Bros House Moving.
Then, in 2018, Danish Construction was born - a testament to my unwavering dedication to delivering top-notch custom home builds, renovations, and installations. But hey, I'm not just about swinging hammers and drilling holes; I'm a family man with a small army of strong-willed and beautifully unique ladies who keep me grounded and inspired every day. Beyond the bricks and mortar lies a man who treasures family above all else. With an incredible wife and three precious daughters by my side, nestled in the serene beauty of Lake Country, I find solace in the simple joys of spending quality time together. Together, we explore life's greatest adventures, embarking on road trips throughout the breathtaking landscapes of BC, and unwinding with some good old-fashioned camping.
